TGP-50 (DIN 1.2083) IS A martensitic stainless steel with 12% Chromium which is sufficient to give good corrosive resistance properties. Itβs best corrosive resistance is when hardened and surface is ground or polished. It has good ductility in the annealed condition but can be hardened up to 500HB (highest of the chromium grades).
Smelting method : EAF+LF+VD+ESR
Main Characteristics : Favourable corrosion resistance, abrasion resistance, quenching, quenching, cutting performance, and polishability as well as high surface fineness.
Major Applications : Production of PVC molds
Long-life molds
Molds for disposable tableware
Production of optics parts for example cameras, sunglasses lens, medical vessels, etc.
